Airtightness & controlled ventilation

To achieve good energy performance there must be a minimum of uncontrolled ventilation (or draughts). To achieve this we carefully detail our continuous air tightness barrier. But a sealed box would not be a solution either. Ventilation has to be controlled to replace the air at a healthy level. A ventilation system is built into every Energy Space® that is triggered by humidity sensors so that when people are present the air is changed automatically. Heat recovery is built into the system meaning the heat energy from the outgoing stale air is used to pre heat the fresh incoming air through a heat exchanger, thus lowering the heating demand.
