Our design philosophyEnergy Space garden designs are about creating comfortable, enjoyable, functional and beautiful outdoor spaces for people. They are about composition, form, tone and texture. Crisp architectural lines and angles interplay with natural contours, planting and boulders. We design around light and shade. Solar access is an important consideration when designating cool shaded areas or areas specifically for being in the sun. Planting has an important role to play and is used to filter or screen incoming light, sound and wind. Energy Space garden designs are also about understanding the pressures on the environment: conserving rainwater for the irrigation of plants, minimising the use of pesticides and fertilisers or materials with high embodied energy and designing for long lasting enjoyment and satisfaction. The key to our designs though is you; the user of the garden. Your needs, expectations, ideas and vision of the finished result are what will determine the course of the design process, from the initial consultation to the gardens completion. |
